   Adani Defence signs five-year AK-203 ammunition supply deal with IRRPL¹²

   Adani Defence and Aerospace will supply 7.62x39 mm ammunition for the AK-203 programme to Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited under a five-year agreement, announced 3 September 2026.

   First 100% indigenous AK-203 'Sher' rifle made and test-fired at Korwa³⁴⁵

   IRRPL's Korwa plant in Amethi produced and test-fired the first AK-203 'Sher' rifle built entirely from Indian components, with reports dated 23-25 August 2026; prototypes are to go to Army trials, and the rifle is meant to succeed the INSAS.

   • Reports dated 23-25 August 2026 describe automatic and burst firing tests at Korwa, Amethi
   • IRRPL contract: 6,01,427 rifles for about Rs 5,200 crore
   • Deliveries targeted to finish by December 2030
